Henderson KY - Atkison Park

Just opening: 9 hole course at Atkison Park. Baskets and tee's in now, final keiosk and tee signs coming in two weeks (current tee signs are up - written on posts). Check it out! A new option for the Evansville / Owensboro area.

Innova Pro shop will be opening soon in ball golf pro shop (snacks and drinks available as well) on top of the hill.

The course is 3383 feet long, with one hole under 300 ' and four holes over 400 '. I also made some hills on this flat land by the river, so check out holes 7 and 8 for most putting fun!

Trees will come this fall (hole 1, 7, 8, 9) and the park is planning on making benches over the winter.

Thank the park workers for their excellent job on making the tees, and try not go miss up the new grass seed on back filling on tees ot hole 7 & 8 untill the grand opening this fall. This course will expand to 18 holes next summer, is they get enough play. At that time hole 9 will go away and 1 & 6 will change, and the course will have 9 holes to the right of the pratice green, and 9 holes to the left.

Any feedback is welcome (hb_clark@bellsouth.net), and the first person to tell me where the future tee 12 will be wins a disc of my choice.

The tee signs are in, all tees level and backfilled, and course is open!

There is a pro shop in the ball golf pro shop on top ofthe hill, check out the selection. As they sell more disc, and see interest in the sport, they will put in the back 9.

I will be doing a disc golf clinic on Sept 25 at 5pm, if anyone wants to come learn, help, and play.

I am possibly holding (with a local youth group) a grand opening tournament on Oct 18 . . any problems with that date?
