Dave you got me intrigued by some of the plastic you were showing me. How about a little run down on them.

Latitude 64 Disc Empty Re: Latitude 64 Disc

you got it Chet,

hmmm Latitude 64…well Ok…so here goes:

River – an understable, but not too understable fairway driver with a LOT of glide. As I learn it more, I can see this disc in my hand a whole lot more in the future for control shots.

Vision – a fast very understable driver that is money for tunnel shots, just throw it with ¾ power on a hyzer and watch it flip and go dead straight…one of my all time favorite discs. Replaced the Sidewinder in my bag, it’s a little faster than a Sidewinder.

Halo – a super fast and overstable wide rimmed driver. It can fight through any headwind…which is nice.

Flow – a fast wide rimmed driver with a lot of glide. It’s stable but not over stable and seems to flip flat nicely when thrown firm on a slight hyzer, it will give a nice S flight when thrown flat. This is becoming a very predictable consistent flyer for me. It is designed to be the domey lovechild of the Vision and Halo. I think they did it.

Medius – an overstable midrange that is not too overstable. I can throw it firm and it will go straight with good glide and hyzer out at the end. Has the feel of a really domey Roc.

Striker – a fairly fast stable control fairway driver. Really like this one, not sure why I traded em all away.

That’s the extent of my knowledge of the Latitude 64 line. I’ve heard really good things about their other discs, particularly the Fuse, Core, Riot, and XXX, but I’ve not thrown those.

Latitude 64 Disc Empty Two new L64 discs...

Post  rudibaughs3 Wed Feb 16, 2011 3:26 am

So I purchased the new midrange and the new driver and played a few rounds with them...here goes:

Pain - overstable mid that you can give some ani and it will glide well but always fights back... Not as overstable as a demon or drone, but still overstable. Feels great in the hand.

Havoc - deceptively fast stable distance driver...has significant turn at high speeds, but has enough stability to fight back at the end. First throw ever with it and I parked 5. Doesn't feel as wide or like it will fly as fast as a kitana or boss, but it seems as fast and so far has been every bit as long. It's a keeper.
