2011 Southern Indiana Series Schedule

2011 Southern Indiana Series
April 30 - Seviren Lang Memorial - Georgetown, IN - B-Tier
June 25 & 26 - Evansville Open - Evansville, IN - B-Tier
August 6 - Buffalo Trace Open - Palmyra, IN - B-Tier
September xx - Patoka Lake Marina Open - Wickliffe, IN - B-Tier(?)
November 6 - Pumpkin Shootout - Evansville, IN - B-Tier

More dates could be added. The date for the Patoka tournament hasn't been set yet, but historically it has been the weekend after Labor Day.

Since the CVO had to move this year, Patoka has its choice of Labor Day weekend or the weekend after wards.

More than likely we will shoot for the weekend after Labor Day. Labor day is usually the busiest at Patoka with campers as is Memorial Day. If that doesn't work we will try to look at something later in the year. 1 day event this year.

Fun Farm, Old English and a Bloomington tourney?

I know when we spoke of this last year Ben we seemed to want to hold the Southern Indiana Disc Golf Championships at Old English, I think that woud be great way to end the series. Thoughts?

I like the idea, but with the Pumpkin Shootout on Nov 6th will there be enough nice weather left in the year? Discs don't seem to fly as far when the weather is cold and we're wearing more layers and Old E is one of the longest courses there is.

Yeah you never know what the weather is like in December anymore, just a thought.

I think Old E would be the perfect setting for such.

Looks like it needs to happen before the pumpkin. I hope the AceEagles can help take the reigns, but since its so far out of Evansville Im not sure

We were talking about Old E last night. We think it needs to be an A-tier. 2 rounds of 27 holes.

Tommy, this sounds great. If we could only get the $$$ to get an A tier event there.
A tiers have to be booked over a year in advance from what I have heard from the PDGA..

A/B tiers (A)Pro/B(Am) are a lot more lenient, and would get us more exposure from the Ams, especially those that aren't current with their PDGA memberships.

I know there is plenty of land at Old English but where could we add 9 holes at?

I was thinking just play the front or back 9 twice.

I wasn't meaning this year for the A tier. I know it would take some planning, but that course would definitely be the best one for an A-tier in Southern Indiana. Besides USI maybe.
